I drive a four-door 1999 Pontiac Sunfire. It’s white, covered in punk rock stickers, dents, scratches, and patches of rust. I call him Cooper, he’s the first car I ever owned, and I’ve grown pretty dang attached to it. I had it through high school, used it to move across Canada, and have taken it up the sides of mountains to go camping. Cooper and I are a strong team, and we go way back. I love this car, and I don’t see myself getting rid of it any time soon.

Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about maintaining cars. Also, for the past year, I’ve been riding the bus to work instead of driving. At this point he’s been sitting for over a year, neglected, gathering dust. From time to time I’ll use it for a grocery trip or something like that, but it’s started making this weird groaning noise. It drives fine when I’m in the city, but once I get up to highway speeds, it starts to shake a bit. The paint is getting rusty and crusty, so Cooper isn’t looking as sleek and shiny as he did right off the factory floor. My wheels are getting low on tread, and my gas pedal is getting a bit sticky. Who knows what else might be up with it.

Everything in my car still works well enough to do what I need it to, but it doesn’t run quite like it used to. What might be more critical, though, is that I don’t have the same confidence in Cooper that I once had. Once, I used it to move halfway across Canada, but today I don’t know if I’d go much further than a hundred kilometres in it.

Yeah, I’ve got one or two… hundred… stickers.

Believe it or not, websites are the same way. See, we look at the Internet as a jungle and your site as the vehicle you’re using to explore it. Even though websites are just a bunch of files living on a server, things will start to get old. Things will begin to break down over time, just like in my car. Updates get missed, plugins become deprecated, and some links are breaking. Unlike a car, though, you’re not going to see a lot of these issues like you would notice a squeaky wheel or a rattling engine.

Here’s the kicker though; I could have avoided it. See, part of the problem I find myself in stems from the fact that I don’t know enough about my car. I don’t know enough to identify what the source of the wibbly-wobbly-rattly bits might be. I don’t know what part of that big metal thing under the hood (that’s the engine, right?) could be causing it to whine and groan. All I can do myself is add some fluids, change my oil, and, frankly, I often forget all about those simple tasks. I need someone else to come in, take a look at the thing, tell me what’s wrong, and fix it for me. I’ll bet that there’s been more than one occasion that you’ve felt the same way about your website.

That’s where we come in.

At Cheeky Monkey, we have three levels of maintenance packages, so you don’t break down in the jungle. When you’re a maintenance client, we equip your site to handle the dangers that the forest throws your way. Developer monkeys make sure that your website’s “engine” is running right. We help you keep your site up 24/7, safe from hackers, and install the most up-to-date version of your CMS software.

Don’t let this happen to your site. Or your car. Or anything, really.

It’s not only the back-end that we help maintain. Our marketing monkeys clear a path through the rough roads of digital marketing. When you have the monkeys on our creative team, you don’t have to worry about blocking time to write a new blog post. That time-consuming task of creating new social media images? That slides right off your plate and lands on ours. Have a new idea for the look of your site? Our design monkeys can help turn your vision into reality. Regardless of what the jungle throws your way, our team can handle it for you.

With all our Cheeky Monkey Media maintenance packages, we provide discounted emergency/rush rates, bug fixes within 30 days of all delivered work, responses to requests within one business day, and your budget gets rolled over to the next period if it’s not all used. Oh, did we mention that work requests from maintenance clients get priority placement in our work queue?

No matter the size of your business, if you’re online, you should consider taking a look at our maintenance packages. With prices starting as low as $1,667 a month, it’s more than worth it for the piece of mind that your site will stay online, up-to-date, and secure.
