Redesigning The Boarding Pass

For a class assignment, we were required to redesign a boarding pass.

The image above is what I had to start with. The thing that struck me was the fact that the gate number is so tiny if not non-existent (as it is in the case above). I also found it interesting that they made the seat information the biggest and boldest part. Looking at my new redesign I do think I should have put the gate number before the seat number, but I think I did a lot of things right in terms of hierarchy and simplicity.

My re-design

I decided to keep the color very minimal so it could be printed in black and white, using size instead of color to create hierarchy.
