Christmas : Magic All Around
As a child I always loved Christmas, the fact that I was a Hindu had no emphasis for me. Being from a Jesuit school Christmas was as it is one of the biggest festival that we celebrated but Christmas was never just a festival for me. The carols that we sang and listened-Joy to the world, Silent night, hark! The herald angels sing and of course the jingle bells have always been in my ears and listening to them on the the Christmas is one memory you must have. The Christmas parties that we celebrated in the school are still one of the most vivid memories of my life. Christmas is best celebrated with friends and when we were in school combining the money to buy soft drink bottles and chips, sharing that home made cakes that my friends brought, playing full day with friends, well those were the days. As the years passed the soft drinks turned hard, playing became dancing and friends of course changed but one thing that remained the same was the fun and excitement of Christmas. With Christmas comes new beginnings, with Christmas comes heartfull surprises.
I have never been to New York for Christmas or perused the Christmas markets of Europe. It is said that they are a different feeling altogether when people do that. I don’t know about that and Neither does most of the folks around here. Fear not I want to bring those experiences to you or atleast closest to them.
