I am a South Africa citizen, having deep roots in Africa. Africa is plagued with political corruption, graft and looting from government institutions and nonprofit organizations. Poverty is rife and the basic needs of the average Africa are not met such as clean water, sanitation, food, medical attention, vaccinations, natural disasters and outbreaks of malaria and influenza (diseases from the 1920s still are prevalent) and education. Africa’s most vulnerable are women and children who live on $1 per day. The only way to alleviate part of the problem is making sure the donor funds and charitable contributions from many worldwide humanitarians and countries actually get to source and are not misappropriated by government or corrupt officials along the way.
