Introduce yourself to as many people as you can. People in your inner circle, people who work for you & people whom you want to work with. Everyone should have a clear idea about what you do and how you can help them.

This is marketing 101. It’s simple and it’s direct.

When you are starting out a service business, you don’t need a perfect sales funnel right away. You don’t need to master Facebook & Google ads on day 1. You don’t need thousands of dollars to start your marketing. Blog posts, content and email marketing are not going to generate your initial sales.

Write a small & clear introduction about your business and start your introductions.

Reach out to people in similar space on LinkedIn. Connect with them. Let them know about your business. Include your 1-line intro in Email signatures, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Quora, Instagram profiles.

Nothing fancy.

Meeting someone? Tell them about your business. Even when you don’t think they are going to do business with you. You are not selling them anything, you are just introducing yourself.

People won’t come knocking down your doors if they don’t know about you. Don’t shy away from introductions. If you are proud of your work and what your company stands for, it’s your duty to tell people about it.

Action Step — Call or message 3 friends right now and tell them about your business.
