Skógafoss

Start traveling now…..

Skógafoss

Svínafellsjökull Glacier

I’m paying more attention and. noticing more about what’s around me, and I’m feeling more connected to nature.

Black sand beach

Travelling is making me more mindful. I never imagined nature could be so mesmerizing.

Gulfoss

Meeting people from different backgrounds who love to travel makes it more enjoyable.

Gljufrabui — behind the cave

This trip made me feel braver and stronger. I realized how much I want to push myself and take on challenges.

Diamond Beach

After seeing a volcano and noticing the glacier shrinking every year, I now have much more respect for nature than before.

Seljalandsfoss — behind the waterfall

Seeing those waterfalls flow down was truly awe-inspiring.

Breiðamerkurjökull

Wearing the appropriate clothes for the weather can either make your trip uncomfortable or enjoyable.

Jökulsárlón Iceberg

Polar bears need icy waters and are mostly found in Greenland. Occasionally, they drift from Greenland to Iceland on icebergs.

Sky Lagoon:

Wow, the lagoon was amazing! The water felt so nice on my body.

Every time I jumped in for a cold plunge, I wanted to do it again. I discovered breathwork while trying out those plunges — breathe with intention

Arctic char:

I also noticed how open I am to talking to others, making friends and starting conversations. Bdw food is so delicious.

Icelandic Horse

The weather kept changing every 5 minutes. One moment it was sunny, then it was snowy, windy and then it started raining.

They have panache :D

Facts I learned from local people:

  1. Vatnajokull is Iceland and Europe’s biggest glacier, reaching a thickness of 1km. Beneath it lies a volcano.
  2. Puffins go to South Africa in the winter to find food and return to Iceland in the spring and summer to nest, typically from May onwards.
  3. The volcano named Katla is located in Iceland, and it is associated with a female name.
  4. A ridge is a geological feature consisting of elevated land. We drove through a mountain area where there was hot water flowing underneath the ground.
  5. Reykjavik — Smoky Bay

Tips:

Souvenir: local sea salt, Icelandic Chocolates, Birch wood beer

Food: Lamb (there are 800k sheeps in this country), Fish (exporting them biggest source of revenue)
