_____ I claim silly speeches seriously,

sometimes.

He read me A romantic poem;

slowly and gently

about an hour under the velvety moonlight

while we were taking round and round at a snail’s pace.

‘ How do you think?’ he asked.

‘There are many new words. I need to look over a dictionary, which I don’t have one.’ faithfully and helplessly I responded.

... A throwback to my first few months at university in England, I was nervous and struggling about my poor listening to adapt British accent.

Tho I was looked like the photo above but acting like the silly self-portrait also above.

I remembered that I realised the tutor was saying the simple word as ‘ruler’

thirty minutes later, just RULER!

Anyway… related to this experience I’d like to introduce to you a book, which was a therapy to me at the time — — feeling I had a silly company but we had romance indeed.

LANGUAGE by Xiaolu Guo

It always made me laugh and touching.
