In a battle of the NBA’s youngest teams (Suns 1, Bulls 2) The Bulls looked to build off of their win vs Charlotte on Friday night.

For a team that struggles to score, the Bulls came out red hot in the first quarter, putting up 37 points on Phoenix. It was the struggling Jerian Grant who was again rewarded the start from Fred Hoiberg over Kris Dunn. Grant continued on in his slump, posting just two points and two assists in 21 minutes, while his backup, Dunn, picked up where he left off on Friday, adding 17 points, six rebounds and six assists, although a late game turnover really cost the Bulls a chance to lessen the deficit.

The Suns T.J. Warren had a game high 27 points, and he also attempted to fight Robin Lopez after incidental contact from Lopez. Both players were given technicals from officials. Mike James and Troy Daniels led the Suns second unit with 29 points between the two of them.

Lauri Markkanen posted a career high 26 points, shooting 10-of-18 from the floor. Markkanen also added 13 rebounds to his stat sheet, while Bobby Portis added 12 off of the bench in 20 minutes.

Although Markannen and Dunn looked impressive, the Bulls moved to 3–11 on the season, falling 113–105. They will now be headed to Utah to face off against the Jazz on Tuesday night.
