WICKER PARK — Happy Friday!

Here are some ideas for things to do this weekend, along with a few weekday events early next week. Most of the stuff is based in Wicker Park, Bucktown and West Town. **

The burger at Cafe Six06. [Alisa Hauser]

Try a New Burger. A Greek restaurant/cafe hybrid helmed by a chef who previously cooked for a Saudi prince recently opened in West Town. Chef Dib’s burger w/ fries ($14; full menu here) is a ground beef and lamb kefka patty stuffed with Gouda-cheese and topped with caramelized onions (and other stuff by request). Cafe Six06, 1641 W. Chicago Ave. Hours are 8:30 a.m.- 1 a.m. Friday-Saturday and 8:30 a.m.- 10 p.m. Sunday.

Check Out Bar Biscay. A French/Spanish fusion restaurant from the owners of mfk opens today in the former Unite Urban Grill. Reservations on OpenTable look pretty booked up but good luck. At 1450 W. Chicago Ave.

Dance Like You’re at a Slumber Party. Smooth that wrinkled flannel onesie and join Beauty Bar’s Winter Onesie Party: R&B Sleepover. Free until 10 p.m, or $5 cover after, from 9 p.m.- 2 a.m. 1444 W. Chicago Ave.

Become a Citizen Plant Scientist. The Trust for Public Land is looking for volunteers to observe, record and report on plants that make up The 606 park and trail landscape using USA-National Phenology Network/Nature’s Notebook protocols. (If can’t make that, register for next week’s workshop in Humboldt Park here)

Celebrate the Lunar Chinese New Year. No passport required, just hop on the Blue Line to the Red Line and get off at the Cermak-Chinatown stop to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year and wander around all the cool shops and restaurants. Marching bands, floats, and all sorts of revelry will help to welcome in 4716, the Year of the Dog. The parade starts at Wentworth and 24th St. and travels north to Cermak. Free. From 1–3 p.m. Sunday.
