Support Green City Market At Lagunitas Launch Party Tuesday
DOUGLAS PARK — Green City Market will host a launch party at Lagunitas Brewing Tuesday to celebrate the opening of its outdoor farmers market season next month.
Tickets to the event, from 5:30–8:30 p.m. in the basement at Lagunitas Brewing Company, 2607 W. 17th St., are available online for $10. The gathering will feature food from Green City Market’s partner chefs and $6 beers all night, with proceeds from beer sales benefiting the non-profit organization.
Raffle prizes at the event include ticket to the market’s annual Chef BBQ, a cooking class at The Chopping Block, a community-supported agriculture (CSA) subscription to Mint Creek Farm and a brunch at Publican Anker with a signed cookbook by chef Paul Kahan.
Green City Market will open its Lincoln Park market Saturday, May 5th at the south end of Lincoln Park, 1817 N. Clark St. The Lincoln Park launch will include a 10:30 a.m. chef demonstration by chef Paul Virant and kids activities from 8 a.m.-Noon.
Green City Market Lincoln Park runs every Wednesday and Saturday from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. from May 5th through Oct. 27. The list of vendors is expected to be announced later this month.
