BUCKTOWN — Independently-owned java house and roaster Ipsento announced on Friday that it wants to open three new outposts over the next four years and it’ll offer ownership to the public through crowdfunding.

“Ipsento is becoming the FIRST independent coffee brand to offer partnership through an exciting new opportunity for small businesses called equity crowdfunding,” the shop posted on its Facebook page.

Investment levels start at $1,350 and go up to $67,500.

Ipsento began in 2006 and operates Bucktown stores at 2035 N. Western Ave. and 1813 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Owned by Tim Taylor, Ipsento also has a roasting facility (not open to the public) at 1955 N. Western Ave., across from Margie’s Candies.
