We’re Back On Olive — Chifi Update THANKSGIVING 2024

A detailed road-map of the mission we are on, and the current status of Olive .

This was an incredibly productive week for me in regards to my open-source software. With my efforts, we are now sitting on the edge of two releases that mark a significant turning point in the road-map we have outlined in these updates various times. I am of course talking about Olive , its dependencies, and the various projects I wanted to finish first.

Last year, I got really close to getting a solid 0.1.0 release of Olive . This came in the form of pre-release II, Olive 0.0.93 . While this version had realized a basic version of Olive , it still hasn’t been good enough for me so I decided to overhaul the web-framework to offer myself even more capabilities and finally get to version 0.1.0 . While it sounds ridiculous to consider I have spent so long working on Olive — if you consider its surrounding ecosystem and the wealth of different packages and possibilities I have spun into fruition to support it, it is easy to see why it has taken this long……
