Our biggest chocolate cravings often come as emergencies — need-it-now moments that just can’t be stopped. Before you tear into another chocolate bar with abandon or resort to the freezer-burnt pint in your stash, know that it’s possible to whip up full-fledged chocolate desserts a lot faster than you might think. These are a few of our favorite quick fixes.

Peeling open a store-bought pudding cup might be your fastest option, but Ree Drummond’s homemade Chocolate Pudding is your best. This rich and creamy dessert just takes 15 minutes to make, and it’s ready to be eaten as soon as it’s done cooking — or after some time in the fridge if you prefer it chilled.

Dip isn’t just for snacking. Food Network Kitchen’s toasty S’mores Dip is a scoopable chocolate treat that’s ready for dipping in 30 minutes flat. And for an even quicker version, use 1 1/2 cups of your favorite prepared fudge sauce instead of making it from scratch.

Though baking a batch of cookies from scratch might not line up with your need-chocolate-now motto, Ina Garten’s Chocolate White Chocolate Chunk Cookies are a breeze to bake. With just 20 minutes of prep and 15 minutes in the oven, these triple-chocolate cookies go from batter to bake sale in no time.

A chocolate cake craving can’t always result in baking a chocolate cake, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have your cake and eat it too. In fact, it takes just 90 seconds to zap The Pioneer Woman’s Chocolate Cake in a Mug in the microwave.

Take a page from the Swiss and stir together a rich (and surprisingly healthy) Chocolate Fondue that’s good to go in 25 minutes. It’s a just-right blend whisked with cocoa powder, just two ounces of dark chocolate and evaporated milk.
