Redesigning the Chilindo app
Chilindo, a leading eCommerce site, proudly announces the redesign of its mobile shopping application on both iOS and Android platforms.
Our brand new Chilindo mobile app for Android and iOS was successfully launched in the mid of last month and we couldn’t be more excited. It has been completely redesigned with the goal of making it more user friendly for shoppers to browse its popular e-commerce website. The new version of the app is packed with an intuitive and stylish mobile design, enabling users to easily put their bids in multiple interested products at once.
“Our new app would allow our users to truly enjoy themselves shopping on Chilindo. We designed it in a way that can be used with just one finger, “casually”. Both versions are independent to fully use the uniqueness of iOS and Android platforms in terms of features, navigation and how the app feels,” said Matthieu Burleraux, Business Development Director, Chilindo.
The new redesigned app has following outstanding features:
- Navigation made Easy
Exploring and shopping in Chilindo app has become more intuitive with it’s clear menu and tabs. Users can browse and bid on products organized by category. When on the product detail page, shoppers can view more hi definition product images with a swipe of a finger.
- Redesigned checkout and order status
Chilindo’s new mobile app includes a modernized cart for faster, easier and secured purchase. The order status function has also been improved to help customers better track and manage orders.
- Helping users make better-informed decisions
The product detail page has also been enhanced to be more informative. Users will see more details about the product before bidding and deciding on their purchase.
- Improved backend
We did some horizontal scaling of our servers including optimizing them using Redis. The app’s API has also been enhanced. These improvements has definitely made the app to run faster and more responsive.
