CHZ is Going Native
The Chiliz token is an ERC-20 token built on the Ethereum blockchain, whilst Fan Tokens are minted on Chiliz Chain, an EVM-compatible blockchain. We are currently in the process of transitioning towards a new and upgraded version of Chiliz Chain (Chiliz Chain 2.0) that will see these two giants (CHZ & Fan Tokens) come together. We will be staying as an EVM-compatible chain (Ethereum Virtual Machine) as it enables us to benefit from the Ethereum ecosystem through cross-chain interoperability. The new and improved blockchain will provide faster TPS and lower transaction costs than Ethereum. We are also believers in Ethereum as a technology and an ecosystem and want to expand the potential of the future of a multi-chain ecosystem.
The new Chiliz Chain utilises a Proof-of-Staked-Authority (PoSA) consensus which offers optimal scalability, a governance structure, staking, speed, expanding the utilities of CHZ as well as Fan Tokens, also providing more Web3 opportunities for the whole sports & entertainment industry.
Still, in its testnet phase, the chain will go through a total of six stages until it reaches the mainnet launch.
ChilizX will be one of the first exchanges supporting Chiliz Chain 2.0.
