A master of languages and a quintessential Italian proudly hailing from Potenza, Serena sits within the Social Media Team and handles everything Italian football when it comes to content. And if football is life for Serena, then Juventus is God! Check out what a typical day is like for Serena:

What do you as the Digital Editor — of Football do?

As part of the Social Media team, I spend most of my day researching, planning and executing content and campaigns.

Or, to put it in less glamorous terms, I am one of the admins of the social media channels.

What’s your background? Have you always worked in this space?

I have been a massive football fan ever since I can remember, so I’ve always tried to pursue this passion along with my personal and academic commitments over the years.

Aside from enjoying the ups and downs of Football Twitter since 2010, it wasn’t until 2016 that I got my ‘official’ start in the sector, when I joined the social media team of one the biggest forums of Juventus fans around the world.

Fun fact: I was ‘recruited’ for my role by Calvin, our Head of Content, through Twitter, and my life hasn’t been the same since. So bottom line: always pursue your passions, even when the payoff is not immediate :)

What does your average day look like?

Lots of scrolling through Twitter! ;)

To be completely honest, there’s no such thing as an average day at the office.

Every week we have new partners to announce, new campaigns, new polls…it’s as hectic as it gets, but in the most fun and rewarding way possible.

What’s the best part of working at Chiliz?

Making fans happy.

Seeing the happiness and excitement on fans’ faces when they get to go to the stadium for the first time, meet their heroes or win a giveaway with us is the best part of this job, and the reason we all work as hard as we do in the first place.

A close second would be getting to work with my favourite club…an absolute dream come true!

What’s your favorite part/feature of the app?

Socios Predictor, hands down.

I love a good challenge, so this feature is the perfect excuse to marry my passion for football to my competitive side. Looking forward to climbing the leaderboards once the new season starts!
