Innovations do not have to be moonshots.

South Korea government delivers assortments of food to individuals who are waiting for Covid19 test results. The goal is to reduce these individuals to leave and go to public spaces. (link)

In January and February, Alibaba, Baidu, and Tencent all developed telemedicine apps, serving Hubei and residents in other major cities in China, without fees. In February, Alibaba also developed a drug delivery service for patients who have chronic illnesses. (link)

  • U.S. also has telemedicine apps but they charge a fee. Now is the time for startups to step up to use their innovation to help our society and the world. Venture capitalists might not like the idea that their health care apps will have more free users now, but I say that that is the right thing to do in the short term and long term for these businesses. They are here to make a positive impact and users will remember it. Customer loyalty is often developed during critical moments, and customer loyalty will cultivate long-term value creation.
