What is React Native?
React Native is a trending framework to build native mobile apps using JavaScript on multiple platforms. It is powered by Facebook and welcomed by a large number of developers throughout the world.
Why React Native?
React Native is a cost-effective way of building cross-platform mobile solutions. It shares the fundamental with the popular React Framework and leverages the power of the active and vibrant eco-systems.
In this session, Bob Zhao brought us a journey through a brief history of React Native, how React Native works and its advantages and disadvantages, and comparison with other popular frameworks. He also shared best practices of React Native based on his rich experience in mobile development.
There were about 40 CITANZ members and other IT professionals participated in this session.
About Bob
Bob Zhao currently works at Springload as a Mobile Developer. He has got a strong technical background as well as the modern JavaScript framework. He has plenty of experience to build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms, with well-documented, clean JavaScript code.
