Overheard in Chingu

A: ā€œHey, but your foot is bleedingā€ B: ā€œWho cares! Do you see this dead pixel?? Do YOU SEE IT?ā€

I tripped, fell down the stairs, and broke a wrist once after receiving an early morning support call from the Help Desk. Does that count as a Developer injury?

Worst injury I’ll get is like.. dropping a computer over my foot In which case, I’ll prob. check the PC before my own foot.

Developer priorities

Hello everyone. Great day to you

guess who saw a cute baby today

NOT programming related at all, but randomly found this emotional/inspirational video on Youtube, in Danish. Turns out that there’s an English version. Also, lets you hear what Danish sounds like

Just wanted to share it

I am SO happy today I’ve been anxious a while about the new job, since it said I had to have some extend of backend knowledge. Got word from future team lead today that they generally don’t want me to do any backend, since they ā€œhave people who loves that weird stuffā€. I just have to know how data is passed around etc. — nothing more

I did warn them in advance that I really knew 0 backend stuff, and they said it was fine .. Was still a bit anxious though

LOL

that weird stuff?

how dare they

Made me laugh a little. Frontend team lead with big F

Resources of the Week

VISUALIZING GIT

Eric Zumwalt kindly shared this resource with the community:

ā€œThis came in handy when trying to help others visualize Git It does not allow for things like ā€˜git status’, but is great for understanding commits, branches, merging, and rebaseā€
