— CALLING ALL PEOPLE WHO LOVE DESIGN. So, we’ve got quite a few team dev projects ongoing right now. It’d be nice if we people who are in the cohorts and looking to bolster their design portfolios could get involved if they wanted. So please message me if you’re one of these people.

— For everyone who signed up to the gave-dev project (found in the news channel in each cohort), the teams will start to be organized on Wednesday!

— CALLING ANYONE WHO HAS RECEIVED ANY OF THE FCC CERTS! Please shoot me a message. There’s going to be a beta version of a team project debuting soon related to this ;p

Shoutout & Showcase

@vera, @animsaj, @erikhos — VEJATHER is their team name. They all chose to do the build.to.learn bots challenge last month and here is what they finished: the MDN bot!!

Here is the MDNbot landing page, but as seen in the above screenshot, you can also just search it in the slack app directory (it has been accepted already!).

Working in remote dev teams is no easy task and no doubt there were numerous challenges they had to face. Congratulations Jasmina Babic, Erik, and Veronica Mihai!

@franc — @franc from the Koalas made this really nice quote-generator rendition called Thought for the Day.

@rachelw — the 500th person in ChinguCentral!

@kimkwanka — @kimkwanka made this: “Visual Studio Code theme based on Dark+ theme with colors inspired by Atom’s One Dark theme.”

posted by Veronica Mihai

Quote to Go

The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn. — Alvin Toffler

I recently spoke to graduating students at the University of Queensland in Australia and their excitement was tinged with trepidation about the future. I made three points to them: first, AI — and the resulting automation of industrial and business processes — will affect us all and is here to stay; second, it is in its infancy and there is an immense opportunity to transcend the disruption; third, as AI develops, this disruption will be repeated again and again. The only certain strategy in our world is for us all to become life-long learners. — Vishal Sikka. CEO, Infosys

Last thing

Last thing, FreeCodeCamp has the 2017 new coder survey out now and it only takes 5 minutes!

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
