Showcases & Shout-outs
@BUILD-TO-LEARN — JD Richards & Daniel Segovia — One of the first teams to finish their team project this Voyage! They built Timezoner, a Slack bot for communicating time between remote team members in different Timezones. Even though this team may still make changes to the project, I couldn’t help but drop a shout-out here for the team. They’ve worked together extremely well and their team dynamic will be one for other teams to emulate in the future. Check out their splashpage here and below is an example of the clever bot in action!
@nat — Natali Davydova wrote an article for with 6 tips for all Chingu Project Managers!
@BUILD-TO-LEARN — @exsqzme — Mike Aldave started on a team last session and soldiered on to finish this awesome app called Regex-Dojo! @roxroy worked on the project as well in its early stages.
@BUILD-TO-LEARN — @vannya — Van Tabbert so kindly made a helpful walkthrough of a project startup. I definitely recommend checking it out and you can see it here.
@benjaminadk — Another week, another creation from Ben Brooke! This week he wrote a How-to article for Node.js beginners. In it he writes about Social Media MetaTag Generator app!

Chingus of the Week
I want to take a moment to thank all the adventurous beta-testers who have been graciously helping teams by testing out their projects.
In the past few weeks members have helped the Dev-Gaido team, the Pair-Programming bot matcher team, and the profile bot team. And I have a feeling that with all the industriousness going on here, there’s going to be plenty more beta-tests happening in the near future. :)
What is so wonderful about this is that it allows the developers involved to get more well-rounded sense of how to think about their applications being used by others. If people are getting stuck somewhere, you know some tweaking is in order. It’s an ongoing learning process and I’m happy to see these sessions sprouting up!
