Project Portal Feature — Chingu Community Discussion
Reminder — What is Chingu?
Chingu is a coding platform for programmers to elevate their technical and professional team skills by building a project in 8 weeks with a remote team.
Guidelines For Feature Discussion
Hey Chingu Community! The Chingu-X team wants to hear from you about our future features. So here’s how it is going to work:
- Mockups are posted by Chingu-X Team with each feature section numbered. For example, in the mockup below, ‘Project Overview’ is section #1.
- Take a careful look at the mockup below and make note of sections you have comments about.
- Each feature section will have its own post in the comments area at the end of the post. If you have any thoughts on a particular section, please comment on the appropriate post by clicking on the post, which will take you to a page for responses.
We really want to build these features to help make your Voyage experience valuable, and we need input from the Chingu Community to make sure we’re on track. So, let’s have a thoughtful discussion to make it happen!
Example Comments
An example comment for #11 Documents could be:
I really like this! But I was wondering if this section is different from the docs provided by Chingu?
This is the type of comment we’re really looking for because it gives us a chance to make sure the feature is useful! Of course, we would love to hear if you like what we’ve got so far and have no additional comments, but we are hoping for feedback that will generate discussion and give us insight on what you, our users, want from this tool.
Project Portal Feature
So what is this!? Well, from initial feedback, some of you have requested a way to get more information about your current cohort, as well as SOMETHING to do on the Beta Chingu site itself!
We came up with a Project Portal that is tailored for each team, within which there are sections customizable for you, the individual user. It includes among other things, a lot of project organization tools such as integrated areas for entering meetings notes, standups, and the ability to compile all your project links in one place!
Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below!
- Let us know how you feel about the Project Portal feature in general!
- Is this something you want to see on the website?
- How would you use it?
- Are there any features missing?
