What is Chingu-Central? (for new members)
You may be wondering, what is Chingu-Central place I just got an invite to?

What is this Chingu-Central place?
Chingu-Central is the home-base of the Chingu ecosystem. It’s where you can connect with people from the entire Chingu ecosystem, and it also has many topic-specific channels (ex. #react-studygroup, #p1xtstudygroup, #freelance — full list shown below).
TL;DR — It’s a place for members from the entire Chingu ecosystem to meet and support each other. You’ll find members from all individual animal cohorts and Voyage here.
How will it benefit me?
People tend to use Central in two ways:
1. To learn with others on a specific topic.
Here is the list of channels in Central at the moment:

2. Chat with other coders about X,Y and Z!
A lot of people use Central just to read, chat and be around other developers who are on the same journey as them. We all remember what it was like not being connected to others pursuing similar goals as ours (it sucks). This helps with that. :)
What kind of music do you listen to while you code? Want to share an accomplishment? All is welcome conversation in Central!
How to use Central’s main bots?
There are two bots that will help you in Central (both former Build-to-Learn projects):
SNS BOT (Slack N Study)
Simply type /sns show-all and you’ll see all private channels in Central that you can join. You can join by typing /sns add-to channelname
Who-bot (Central’s Skills-library)
Simply type /whobot to learn more. Quick tip: /whobot who knows skill (ex. /whobot who knows react) will let you help you find people to ask questions if you have them.
Sidenote: Don’t try to keep up with everything, everywhere!
Chingu-Central and the cohorts (like Voyage) are here to help you. Don’t feel like you need to keep up with everything because trust me you won’t. Only join the channels you’re interested in and use it to help you :).
