We’re proud to be supporting MakerClub’s BrightSparks programme, sponsoring five free scholarships to MakerClub’s groundbreaking after-school design and technology clubs.

In the fast-changing work landscape of the 21st century, tech literacy is a crucial part of education. What we like about MakerClub is that their approach goes beyond teaching coding. They instead focus on design thinking: approaching engineering problems from a spectrum of creative and practical perspectives, encouraging their students to work as teams to think through problem-solving in a fun and applied context.

The BrightSparks programme provides free scholarships to budding young makers who might not otherwise have the means to take part. MakerClub also actively promotes gender parity by maintaining a 50/50 gender balance in their classes.

It’s a brilliant endeavour and we’re proud to play a small role in supporting it.
