You smash your head forward. Ouch! Your forehead meets the orc’s horrible tusks…
But your foe recoils, stunned. You draw your axe and thump it into his face.
Rising, you retrieve your sword then climb on.
The top of the ladder leads outside — a clifftop plateau. Two figures approach. You raise your bloody axe again, only to recognise them from town.
They are no orcs, but rather a sorceress called Naya Flameweaver, and a lizardman warrior named Tox’ar!
“What are you…?”
“Orc guards have our friend, Polki!” interrupts Naya, pointing further off through the distant rocks. “They went that way!”
