Ok, ok. This is a little cheesy. I used to LOVE these stories when I was a kid and ever since the internet was invented, I’ve been trying to figure out how to crowd source a choose your own adventure story. The internet is such a great place to explore what happened, how things go, but very seldom is it a place to write what happens next.

There are so many stories being told right now, and I thought it would be great to explore, with one another, what happens next.

Since it’s the internet, and I expect some thing to go wrong, here are some rules to the game.

All Posts Must Include

For posts to be approved there should be:

1. A brief recap of the previous page / what happened just before.
2. The hashtag: “Choose Your Own Adventure”
3. The following copied and pasted:

… and then…
[ list out what could possibly happen next and then link to it]

For alternative endings, please paste a brief description and a link in the comments below.

This work does not necessarily represent the beliefs of the author, the other authors or any known thoughtful life being. This is simply a story. Official rules and guidelines can be found here.

Hashtags

1. Use #ChooseYourOwnAdventure for all stories.
2. For new beginnings use #OnceUponATime

Other things that shouldn’t be necessary to say, but I am saying them…

1. There will be no negative feedback about writing. Let people express.
2. There will be no calls to harm any others, only an exploration of the thoughts and feelings someone might experience.
3. If you want to be an official author / contributor, let me know and I will add you.
4. These rules will change as we go.
