Land of the WHAT? Home of the WHO?

VS.

Since I’m no longer working much, I’ve been walking around, going to some places I don’t usually go. I’ve been sticking my finger into people’s ears attempting to determine what’s going on in their brains. It certainly always is a fascinating experience.

One things seems pretty clear: this idea of America as the Land of the Free, Home of the Brave certainly doesn’t fit anymore. Most Americans are afraid, and mostly, they’re afraid of each other.

Half the people are afraid of the future, so they are trying to bring back the past.

Half the people are afraid of differences.

Any difference, but especially different colors….of people

Everyone is afraid of the changes they see coming. Everyone feels that a great deal of changes need to occur. The question is which things need to change?

Many of the people are so afraid of something that they think carrying a gun helps.

A lot of people are really frighted by competent women.

The biggest fear of half the people in the U.S. is the President of the U.S.

The biggest fear of the President of the U.S. is that Robert Mueller is finding out.

A lot of people in the U.S. are afraid of Kim Jong Un.

The President of the U.S. envies Kim Jong Un,

and how we he controls his country’s access to information,

and what he would do to Robert Mueller

All of the people are afraid of the use of some words.

For some the words are Nazi, and the “N” word

Others are not allowed to mention “climate change.”

Half the people are afraid of foreigners and immigrants.

Half the people are one or two generations away from being foreigners or immigrants.

I was surprised at how much those two overlap.

Half the people live in constant fear because they have no power.

The other half live in constant fear of losing the power they have.

The results of this is that those without power are suffering more.

An increasing number of people fear that our elections are being rigged. There is a big disagreement about who is doing the rigging.

Almost everyone has more fear about weather related dangers, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and wildfires.

Half the people feel there is nothing to be done, except try to survive and help the victims.

Half the people think, “Well, what did you expect?”

Half the people are afraid of the truth. The truth about some of the things that America has done, and the truth about what it is doing now. These truths are complex.

That is the most dangerous fear of all.

If we can’t dig down and get the best possible idea of the truth; if we are constantly being lied to, distracted and mislead, we will never be able to solve any of the problems. That’s why we should all be afraid.

But we should not be silenced by our fears. As it has often been said: “We shall overcome,” and The Truth shall set us free.”

Talk to someone you don’t know. Even if they are a different color. Even if that color is pinkish white.
