Pick Your Pain

I started a new journey two weeks ago. This journey is a morning run every other day. At 5:00am.

Prior to starting this journey, the last time I went on a run was in 2012.

It’s 2016.

So you can guess by now that it’s been hard.

Well, to be clear, it’s been hard to make the right choice. You see, my body is actually responding well! I’m seeing progress and I love how I feel after the run.

This weekend at church (Life.Church), Pastor Craig Groeschel made a statement that changed the way I view these types of choices. Not just in health, but in my everyday life: My relationship with God, my marriage, my family, my work… the list goes on. He said,

You Pick Your Pain.

We can pick the pain of discipline now, or the pain of regret later.

I’d rather have the discipline now and live a life of no regrets.

I highly recommend you watch the message below and challenge yourself in this.

Which pain do you choose? The pain of Discipline? Or the pain of Regret?

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
