Again, I give you an eternal truth: If two of you agree to ask God for something in a symphony of prayer, my heavenly Father will do it for you. For wherever two or three come together in honor of my name, I am right there with them! Matthew 18:19–20 TPT

The devil constantly promotes the lie that we do not need to fellowship with other believers. After all, the Christian life is a personal one. However, we must recognise that this is a strategy to divide us and make us more vulnerable, as he understands the value of fellowship with others. Meeting with other believers on a regular basis holds us accountable to one another and allows us to minister to one another. When we remain in fellowship, we are able to genuinely care for one another, as the Bible commands.

For the same reason, we are encouraged in Hebrews 10:25 to “not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as some do, but exhorting one another, and all the more as the Day approaches.” Paul warns believers not to neglect fellowship, while also reminding them of one of the benefits of fellowship: exhorting one another.

Our God rewards those who uphold His word and will. As a result, when we come together in prayer and lift our requests as a group, God honours them. He recognises our commitment to gathering in His name and honours it by manifesting His presence.

Whatever barriers may exist between a believer and communal fellowship; they must be overcome. The advantages of fellowship far outweigh any physical limitations or disagreements that may arise when living life with others.

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the community of believers in my life. Help me to stay in fellowship with other believers and remove anything that will cause strife and destroy our unity.
