Benefits of His Presence

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.” John 5:19(KJV)
These are the words of a son who trusted and believed in his father unto death. The authority of a son proceeds from a father, and the father’s power confirms this authority. The same authority Jesus handed over to us in Matthew 28:18–20, and he confirms this authority as we move in His presence.
A father’s presence in the life of a son goes a long way in determining the son’s success and his expected end. Jesus promised He would never leave us nor forsake us. Therefore, an awareness of the promise of His presence with us should encourage us to believe and move boldly.
In Matthew 28:18–20, Jesus is with us to confirm the authority He has bestowed on us. In 1 John 1:6–7, Jesus is the light we walk in to ensure we never stray from fellowship. In Psalms 91:1, it is in the presence of God that we are protected. In Isaiah 40:1, The strength needed for service in ministry comes from God.
Lest by our strength, we would keep draining out periodically.
We struggle because we do not recognise His presence. Recognising the presence of God in our lives as believers is crucial in accomplishing the vision of having a glorious year.
Father in You, I live, move and have my being, enable me to accomplish glorious things today in Jesus’ name, Amen.
