Face like a Flint

--
For the Lord GOD will help Me; therefore I have not been disgraced. On account of this I have set My face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. [Isaiah 50:7 AFV]
As Jesus' followers, we learn about the wondrous and mysterious ways of God. We also learn how prudent it is to have faith in His vision. All these are essentially a step in our journey of doing what we can to ensure purpose is fulfilled in our lives. For God is our help, we shall not be disgraced in fulfilling our purpose.
What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you claim to have faith but don’t demonstrate it through your deeds? [James 2:14]. Can anyone be saved by that level of faith? We are made aware that our deeds must align with the confidence we have in God’s plan. Take Abram as an example; when he was told to leave his own country, he trusted God. What did he do then? You may predict as well as the Bible does; he moved in submission to God.
Where there is no action, faith is not seen.
We should always use our gifts and abilities, to the glory of God, in all aspects of our lives, rather than burying them. We demonstrate our faith in God by using our gifts. Always keep in mind that faith needs action; therefore, having faith while doing nothing is a mistake. Follow your God-given vision, there is wisdom in that.
On the account of knowing God is our help, and that sacrificial love is with us, we have to set ourselves up with an unwavering determination to persevere in executing the kingdom agenda in this day and age.
Father, thank You for sharing Your plans for the world with us. Give us the courage to live out our faith in ways that honour Your name and accomplish Your goals.
