Faith Comes
15th MARCH 2022
“So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).” Romans 10:17 [AMPC]
Faith is a gift that has been given to us by our Father. It is believing all that God has said in His word. Anytime we walk in doubt, it means our minds are not focused on Christ, and we are copying the world. The Bible makes us understand that we are in this world, but we are not of this world.
The statement, “seeing is believing” is a carnal statement brought about by the world. As kingdom people, we believe, therefore, we see. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervour; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.” As kingdom people, we base our beliefs on what God has said concerning us.
Walking by faith means we are ready to rely completely on all that God has said concerning us through His Word and through fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The life of faith filters our thoughts, actions, and attitudes through the Word of God and through the promptings of the Holy Spirit, who is our perfect friend.
By walking in faith, we are thoroughly convinced and convicted of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that we have heard, that the struggles we face presently do not cause us to stumble and believe the lies of the enemy. As children of God, we must exercise unwavering faith by accepting scriptural truths as a firm fact. We must have the assurance that what we hope for in Christ will certainly come to pass.
Heavenly Father, I thank You for faith. As I open myself to Your word daily, and keep receiving faith, help me to exercise it in all areas of life, for the glory of Your name, Amen.
