Glorious Inheritance

I pray also that ·you will have greater understanding in your heart [the eyes of your heart may be enlightened] so you will ·know [comprehend] the hope to which he has called us and that you will know ·how rich and glorious are the blessings God has promised [the riches of his glorious inheritance for; or the glorious wealth of an inheritance that God possesses in] ·his holy people [the saints]. There is a glorious inheritance for us as followers and children of God. It is not a stretch to say we all know the economic hardship our world has been going through this year. The impact of the economic state of the world on our well-being and general happiness cannot be downplayed. Thus, this current crisis can easily make us lose sight of the glorious things we have enjoyed, received and witnessed this year.
Our God is a good father, and He knows how to take care of His children through any season of life. He is the one who provides seed for the sower and bread for food, and He increases the harvest of our righteousness. In all of these things, we must remember that God’s priority is first our spirit and soul, before that which is physical. Listen, every material blessing and miracle you receive in this world, will not stay with you in eternity. Yet, there are things of the Spirit in the spirit, whose glory cannot be described to make sense to our minds now — but they are for us.
It is actually better for us that in this world, the glorious things in material blessings do deplete occasionally. That is because, without situations like that, it would be easy for us o put our confidence in such things at the expense of our faith and hope in the real deal God has for us. If you think you haven't seen glorious things this year, please take your time and read this;
I pray also that you will have a greater understanding in your heart, so you will know the hope to which He has called us, and that you will know how rich and glorious are the blessings God has promised his holy people.
Even as the year is coming to an end, do not lose hope or faith in God’s ability to do marvellous things. There are many glorious things; love, service, anointing, power, favour, fruitfulness, and peace — to name a few, that are still opening up over us.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the many glorious things You have done for us this year. When our eyes fail to see them, please enlighten the understanding of our hearts to know those things which we cannot see, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
