One of the questions that often haunts all of us is; what am I here on earth for? Finding the right answer to this question gives is a great relief; it brings a sense of direction and meaning to our lives. The realisation of the reason for our existence also brings meaning to our various endeavours because whatever we do will be geared towards the fulfilment of that particular purpose.

Just as a manual reveals the manufacturer’s intents for the creation of say, a gadget, so the word of God shows us the real reason for which we were created. God created us in His image to be and act like Him. This is the reason for our existence, and it must become our vision. Since man fell from glory in the garden of Eden, God gave His only begotten son Jesus to die in our stead so we can be restored to God’s original purpose for us. It is for this reason Jesus Christ died for us.

The death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus was to make the life of God available to us. As a result, when we accept Jesus into our lives and become born gain, He begins to live out the very life of God through our lives.

When we become born again, we die to our old lives and begin to manifest the life we received from Jesus. No wonder the apostle Paul said, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 KJV”. We have the life of God in us; our vision is to make His life manifest for all to see and give glory to our God.
