“My Purpose shall Stand”
1st JANUARY 2022
Happy New Year to us!!! God has been faithful, and we are absolutely delighted to have you with us in this glorious new year. The year of Leadership was great, and we pray this year will be a year of positive difference for you and all that concerns you. May the favour of the LORD make you fruitful this year. Keep enjoying your Precious Moments in 2022❤️.
Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, “My purpose shall stand, and I will fulfill my intention,” [Isaiah 46:9–10 NRSV]
The dawn of a new day is upon us! A brand-new year stares us in the face. Praise Jesus for ushering us into new beginnings. Many are the hopes, expectations, dreams, goals, and even fears that we have carried into this new chapter of our lives. The uncertainty of what lies ahead in the new year can be daunting, however, who we walk with throughout this year makes all the difference.
If we sincerely believe that God is the creator and sustainer of the universe, then we must entrust our life in His care as we begin this new year.
Who will we set our eyes on in this new year? What are we going to centre our lives around this year? Who will be our source and sustenance throughout this year? This is what the LORD says, “My purpose shall stand, and I will fulfill my intention,” and the certainty with which He speaks is unmatched.
Reflect on what Scripture tells us in Psalm 127, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain.” It is wise and safe to commit to the Lord all of our ways as we step into this new year. Whatever we set out to achieve this year, let us bring before the Lord and seek His counsel. Remember what the key text says, God is “… declaring the end from the beginning …” He is our creator and the author of our purpose, therefore we cannot do without His guidance if we want to live purposefully.
In all humility, let us constantly seek God’s face in this new year. Let us commit ourselves to prayer and tarry in His presence. Let us not be quick to leave His presence, so that we can receive His direction in all our ways in this new year.
Heavenly Father, thank You for yet another year. You alone know the end from the beginning. Help me to seek Your counsel for my life as I begin this year, and may I continually walk with You throughout the year, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
