Planned in Advance

“We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfil the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfil it!” Ephesians 2:10 TPT
I’d like us to begin our devotional from here — God wants the best for us more than we can ever desire for ourselves. This answers the question of where we should start living life. We must diligently seek a consistent relationship with the Lord; it is in this love relationship that we find out what we are made for. God’s purpose makes us know why Jesus died and why we exist on earth.
Ultimately, we are created to spend our lives for the glory of the one and only true King, Jesus Christ. After an eternal relationship with Christ, He calls us to join Him in work to serve humanity to redeem and restore us to our rightful place in Him. Our willingness to submit to this course has purpose already set in motion.
“For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.” 1 Corinthians 3:9 NIV.
This call to service hones and imbibes the right character in us to be like Christ as we seek the benefit of others for His glory. Void of the status/quo, our faith to trust God’s will over our comfort-inspired plan further ushers us to live in true fulfilment here and in eternity.
Heavenly Father, even before I was born, You planned in advance my destiny and the good works I would do to fulfil it. In Jesus’ name, Father, fulfil Your plan concerning my life, that I would live purposefully before You all the days of my life, Amen.
