Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are highways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who lay hold on her; and happy (blessed, fortunate, to be envied) is everyone who holds her fast. [Proverbs 3:16–18 AMPC]

From these verses, we will be mainly talking about the fruits of wisdom. It is one thing to have wisdom and another to apply it. Yes, you have it, but how well are you using it? Gaining godly wisdom is far worthier than rubies, and nothing can be compared to it. However, it is even better when you start applying it because it saves you from a lot of mistakes and sins.

Godly wisdom is like having the mind of God and thinking like Him. So much can be done when you have God’s perspective in view all the time. So many struggles and traps can be avoided when you do things according to God’s ways and not yours.

This Christian journey we are all on comes with its own hurdles, and everyone’s journey is different. You can’t go through this life without the wisdom of God. Every aspect of your life needs the wisdom of God. That is because the kind of peace that comes out of making use of wisdom is unexplainable. Bear in mind, making use of wisdom is part of our spiritual training, the more you do it, the better you get at it.

For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come. 1 Timothy 4:8 AMPC

In everything you decide to do, seek the mind of God before you move. Ask yourself questions like, “What will God have me do?” Fortunately for us, godly wisdom is one thing God hasn’t deprived us of, you just need to ask and then yours is to use it. It is much easy and more profitable to go through life with the wisdom of God than with your own wisdom. So instead of moving through life with your own wisdom and struggling with it, move with the wisdom of God.

Heavenly Father, please give me the wisdom to live for your glory. Help me put to use the wisdom I draw from Your Word daily, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
