“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” [Romans 8:11 NLT]

There are two main lessons from this beautiful scripture. First of all, this verse is saying that the Spirit of the Almighty God, the Sovereign and All-Powerful One who upholds the entire universe just by the power of His word and knows the number of hairs on our heads, lives in us. Secondly, just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead by the power of His Spirit, He will also give life to our mortal bodies by the same Spirit living within us because we are His.

If by His Spirit a dead body could gain life, what deed of the flesh can we not overcome by that same power? Well, whatever the challenge may be, whether sickness or an addiction, His power is available through His Spirit to revitalize, strengthen, and make whole that which is weak, destroyed or dead.

I can personally attest to the revival of the Holy Spirit in my life. There was a time when I was writing exams in the form of assignments. They were extremely packed with so little time for completion, that I got so unwell within that period. I started experiencing constant dizziness, headaches, and such severe chest and back pains, I could hardly sit up. I felt such great physical, emotional and mental exhaustion, that I just did not have it in me to spur myself on. I knew I needed the power of the Holy Spirit to do what I had to. And to God be the glory, every single time I called upon Him and asked for His strength to be made perfect in my weakness, He did. It was as if I was not the one working any longer.

Simply put, this power comes to REVIVE! Praise God, for this power is available to you. Hold on to it, walk in it, and be transformed by it.

Thank You LORD for Your mighty power working mightily in us. We can say we are strong because You revitalize us when we are weak, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
