Royal Priests

Christ for Youth International

In 1961, Queen Elizabeth ll of the British monarchy visited Ghana for the first time. The political and economic climate of the country was all the better for it. However, she had been advised against the visit due to several reasons. But, as a royal, she knew the import of her coming to Ghana, and so she made the trip anyway.

As children of God Almighty, it is somewhat ironic that we forget how mighty we are. We have been plucked from the world of darkness and adopted into the light of Christ. The story, however, does not end there for us; God has ordained us as royal priests. We have such great authority over powers and principalities at our disposal, thus, we need to walk in that consciousness. We should always be aware of how much power we carry. More so, the finished victory that is ours.

Knowing who you are in God through Christ, gives you access to victory in the Spirit. So walk out today with your head held high. No matter the disparaging circumstances, remember, like the Queen, that your presence alone can change things. Be proud of your status as a royal and act like one. For our boast is in Christ alone.

When you begin to see yourself as the Lord sees you, you will begin to have an idea of the victory that is yours in Christ Jesus.

Take some time out today and meditate on these tags the Lord puts on us as believers; a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people. We trust by the time you are done meditating on them, you will be filled with unexplainable joy. You will begin to see yourself as the Lord sees you, and you will begin to have an idea of the victory that is yours in Christ Jesus.
