Run with the Vision
17th APRIL, 2021
Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore, I have set my face like a stone, determined to do His will. And I know that I will not be put to shame. [Isaiah 50:7 NLT]
In our devotional, “Believe in the Vision,” we learned about the wondrous and mysterious ways of God. We also did learn how prudent it was for us to have faith in His vision. It is merely a step in our journey of doing what we can to ensure the vision is fulfilled.
James 2:14 says, ‘What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?’ We are made aware that actions must follow the faith we have in God’s vision. Consider Abram; he had faith in God when he was instructed to leave his native land. So, what did he do? Your guess is as good as what the Bible says, he moved in obedience to God.
Nobody sees faith where action is absent.
Our various forms of service and talents should never be buried, but instead be put to use in every area of our lives, to the glory of God. By making use of our giftings, we prove our faith in God. Always remember that faith requires a corresponding action, hence, to have faith and remain idle is an error. Run with the vision.
Father, thank You for letting us in on Your vision for the world. Grant us the strength to follow our faith with actions that glorify Your name and fulfil Your vision.
