Service Underlines Purpose

“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” [1 Peter 4:10 NLT]
In the scripture above, we see the Apostle Peter admonish the body of Christ to be good stewards with their God-given gifts by serving one another. The priceless value of purpose is experienced best when it meets a need, solves problems, and inspires hope in others to live profitably for God’s kingdom and humanity at large. The need to live life with a sense of purpose cannot be understated. It ripples through generations and ultimately glorifies the Father.
Our standard, Christ, mentions in Matthew 5:16, how our diligence in intentionally letting our light shine in our sphere of influence points people to God’s glory. Beyond walking the streets to share the Good News of our saviour Jesus, our willingness to seek, know and serve humanity with our purpose by obeying the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit in our dormitories, workplace, marital homes, etc creates a perfect avenue to exemplify and draw men to the love of Christ.
Again we say, the need to live life with a sense of purpose cannot be understated. It ripples through generations and ultimately glorifies the Father of glory.
What is your passion for adding to your immediate environment? Ensuring order? Making people know their value in Christ? Keeping your environment free from filth? Building the capacity of others? Go on and serve! Spend your purpose through service.
Father, help me to serve others with the gifts you have given me so that Your glory will be seen.
