“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” [Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬]

One unique feature about the Godhead (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is how they dwell in perfect love and harmony. Each of them is distinct, yet still, one and equally God. One of the ways the oneness of the Trinity is expressed is through their common attributes. For example, if we call God the Father “love”, then God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are “love” too.

From Genesis to Revelations, we see how the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are constantly in pursuit of fellowship with man. God created man in His image, the image no other thing in creation bears. Have you ever wondered why? God certainly couldn’t fellowship with the stones, birds and giraffes. He needed His kind — one with whom He could share fellowship.

When God the Father sent His Son, Jesus, to earth in order that man would be saved, He did not choose to come in an abstract form but rather He came in the form of man, like one of us, so He could talk like us, walk like us and dwell with us. And, after He had accomplished His work on earth, He left us His Holy Spirit to be with us forever! Whoa! Do you see how the entire Godhead is totally devoted to making sure humankind ALWAYS stays in fellowship with God?

Friends, God places an exceptional premium on our fellowship with Him. He created us to enjoy an intimate relationship with Him. And He has made that possible for us today by His precious Holy Spirit. “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever” [John‬ ‭14:16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬]

Open your heart to Jesus today. It will be well worth your while.

God is knocking and calling out to you. He wants to come in and dine with you (food always makes everything better ☺). As you sit face to face with Him, He longs to share His heart, His passion, His compassion, His love and everything He has with you. He wants you to stay with Him and never leave.

Can you hear Him knocking? What will be your response?

Dear Father, I’m grateful that You are mindful of me and desire intimacy with me. Please help me prioritize my fellowship with You.
