Christian Community Online — Introduction and Invitation
Christian Community Online is an online community of Christians from around the world. Whether you are a member of a local church community or have been disenchanted with such and walked away, or are somewhere in between, Christian Community Online offers you an opportunity to rediscover the incomparable riches and promises of pure Christian faith, connection, sharing, and mutual edification.
Our desire is to revive and nurture the simple but passionate faith, sense of community, active personal ministry, and “lively hope” of the earliest Christians in a modern world of increasing knowledge and enabling technology but riddled with divisions, conflicts, and contradictions. We embrace our divine responsibility as the “light of the world” and “salt of the earth” and seek to provide the critically needed ray at the end of the present dark tunnel of the world.
As a global community of followers of Jesus Christ, we echo on earth the heavenly song of the redeemed: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation” (Revelation 5:9, NKJV). As the context of this Bible verse reveals, the purpose of our redemption is that we might be godly influencers in the world.
Wherever you are coming from as a Christian, we believe God has a purpose for you and has given you something to share with us, even if you need time to discover it or be inspired (1 Corinthians 12:4). This may be your intentional presence and support, a Bible quote, an article, a video, a testimony, a revelation, a poem, a song, an inspiring picture or music, a link to helpful content or resource, a question, a comment — just about anything that contributes to the edification of the body of Christ and our witness to the world. Our intention is that “all [these] things should be done decently and in order” (1 Corinthians 14:40).
Our easy-to-use online platform is an exclusive network similar to Facebook, with comparable functions and interactivity. Whether you simply log in online or download the app to your device, you can take your Christian Community with you wherever you go. We also have an outreach publication, the Christian Community Reader’s Digest, and a broadcasting channel, Christian Community TV, either of which you are welcome to contribute to. We hope to draw on the power of supportive community in making a societal impact that may be otherwise impossible.
In addition to the open interactive forum, the community platform has five special-interest sections: Leadership and Global Affairs, Biblical Studies and Christian Education, Enterprise and Innovation, Science and Specialized Knowledge, and Arts and Entertainment. We also have a Blessed Quietness room (Deaf culture) and a Prayer Room. Every aspect of the platform is powered by the community and not a single person or an elite group, though appropriate oversight and moderation are in place.
Whether you meet one person or a thousand people when you come around, come in, say hello, look around, and begin to act as you feel led. “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might” (Ephesians 6:10). Sow seeds, water them, and bring others to partake in the harvest and banquet. In these days of divisive and often confusing voices, it is ultimately between you and Christ, and you trust in his teaching and leadership (1 John 2:27; Revelation 3:20).
“The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come’. And let the one who hears say, ‘Come’. And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price” (Revelation 22:17).
