“And said, Remember now, O Lord, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.”(Isa. 38:3KJV)

This was Hezekiah’s response to God when he was told he was going to die and God added fifteen more years to his lifespan. Let’s take stock of our INVESTMENT IN HEAVEN.

Hezekiah had invested the days he has spent prior to this encounter in walking before God in truth and perfect heart and done what is good. Cornelius prayer and almsgiving were before God as a memorial.

  • Do you really have a walk with God? How have you walked in the past
  • What have you done to convince God like Hezekiah that you deserve not to die?
  • What does your Praise bank, Prayer bank, Walk bank, Work bank, Giving bank, etc read now? Are they not at zero level?
  • When God commanded we are to give thanks in all things, did you do it? When brethren are praising God, what is your attitude? Did you join them or you are doing other things because that is not necessary. You say it’s the choir’s business!
  • When your Prayer bank is checked, the investment you made are prayers God ignores.
  • Your walk has been disorderly over the years and so your Walk bank has no investment.
  • Your Work bank is empty, for disorder walk leads to dead works which God will never record as something worthwhile.
  • What does your giving bank account reads? Anything given from a grudging heart will never be recorded. When the giver is not correct his gifts are useless.

Beloved, God is merciful and I believe He won’t pay us back as we deserve for He is not interested in the death of sinners. Let’s repent and restitute and reposition ourselves in the coming year!
