“You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may tread me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise…..”

Maya Angelou’s (poet and author) poem makes me think about how Jesus rose from the dead. They mocked the Lord and did everything they could to Jesus, but still he rose. If we endure to the end, we will rise again. Not only that, but we will have eternal life in Jesus.

Luke 22:63 And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him.

Mark 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
