How do you know which idea to talk about today?

You probably have a folder of ideas that you could talk about. But how do you choose?

I learned this one from Bryan Harris at Growth Tools (and VideoFruit).

This is what he said:

You need to take 20 minutes today and just solve your fan’s #1 problem.

So decide who it is that you’re talking to. Preferably pick a real person — somebody that you know that has engaged with your content. And think about what is their problem?

Really, what is holding them back?

And then just brainstorm. Create a little bit of content answering their question.

Example:

Your problem is that you haven’t got started yet doing a blog. So here’s how you do it.

Or:

Your problem is that you need help understanding this theological concept.

Or whatever.

The cool thing is: Everyday what is top of mind changes; but everyday whatever that thing is, that’s something I’m kind of passionate about and ready to talk about.

It’s so easy.

Everyday you can repeat.
