Objectivism Book Study — 2022

At FTNCI we want the world to be filled with Christians skilled in moral reasoning.

The world needs people who can shed light on the epistemological, moral, and political topics that many in our society and our churches find so confusing right now.

If you are looking for a way to invest in your own growth — and to work toward the restoration of a Christian society — our new Objectivism Book Study is an excellent place to start.

It is a Saturday morning book club. Our meetings are free and informal. Come whenever you are able.

The Objectivism Book Study is a chance for you to:

For the first part of 2022, the book club will be reading Objectivism: The Philosophy of Ayn Rand.

The book is Leonard Peikoff’s complete presentation of Ayn Rand’s philosophy of Objectivism.

We plan to work through the book in small pieces, taking on two of the chapter sub-sections each week.

You will come away with a solid understanding of the ideas advocated by Objectivism — and the ideas advocated at For the New Christian Intellectual. Often, the ideas align. But sometimes we reject Rand’s positions or we accept a modified version of them.

At FTNCI, our project aims to create a Christian reconstruction of significant parts of Ayn Rand’s philosophical system, correcting the errors inherent in a philosophy such as Rand’s that has rejected Christian teaching.

Over the course of this book study, you will get the chance to play a part in this effort of reconstruction by contributing questions and discussion points.

We hope you’ll join us!
