I thoroughly enjoyed my past three months working at Christie’s and I’m proud to announce that I passed my probation. The Asia office has just finished the big autumn sale season, and all the Asian art departments achieved amazing results. In particular, the Chinese Works of Art department (my current rotation) consecutively sold three single owner sales at 100% sold rate. Now, after my first sale with Christie’s and having experienced a full auction cycle, I look forward to performing even better in the next season, when I will be with the Asian Contemporary Art department.

Despite being busy at work, I have not lost touch with my school, Christie’s Education, which equipped me with the knowledge of the Arts of China during the last academic year in London. It prepared me well for this job as Christie’s graduate trainee.

Furthermore, the friendly Christie’s Education Asia team allowed me to sit in and help out during their short course on Asian Contemporary Art, which prepares me for my next rotation. It was inspiring to compare how short courses are run in comparison to the Master’s I studied. I must thank Christie’s Education for continually helping me to become a better art professional!
