Chronically (Br)ill is looking for writers!

Hi followers!

My name is Rachael and I’m the editor at Chronically (Br)ill. Firstly, I’d like to say a big thank you for following my publication. I created Chronically (Br)ill after joining Medium and finding that there weren’t many publications focused on Disability AND Mental Illness together that were accepting new writers. I have various physical disabilities and mental health problems, and tend to write articles about the effect these have on my life — so I wanted a place where I could publish such articles.

Being a new publication, there are only a few (very valued!) writers on board at the moment. As such, I am currently looking for new writers who would like to submit their work to Chronically (Br)ill. At this point in time, you do not need to have a particular article to pitch when you apply to write for this publication — you just have to be interested in writing articles related to the topics we cover. Such topics include Disability, Mental Health, Chronic Illness, Equality, Recovery, etc.

If you would like to become a writer for this publication, please do get in touch! You can email chronicallybrill@outlook.com with your Medium profile like and some information about you. If you want to, you can include an example or two of the type of work that you would like to submit, but this is not essential. If you know someone who might be interested in writing for this publication, please let them know about us!

All new additions to Chronically (Br)ill would be added as a writer, and whenever you submit an article to the publication it would then need to be accepted by me before being published. If for whatever reason I thought your article didn’t fit with the theme of this publication, I would always get in touch to let you know. Please allow 7 days between submission and publication. You can always give me a nudge if I haven’t responded to you (I can be a bit forgetful at times!)

I look forward to hearing from any of you who are interested in writing for us.

Once again, thanks for following!

Rachael ❤
