This is just another victory for the Creme de la Creme intramural basketball team as they continue their undefeated season. Currently playing solid basketball and standing at 3–0 on the season, Creme de la Creme is proving to be one of the best teams in the Southeastern Intramural Basketball League.

Creme de la Creme plays an extremely fast and exciting style of basketball. Coach Myron Gibson simply stated, “We play how we play, because we are crowd pleasers.”

And please the crowd they did. Creme de la Creme filled the game with exciting plays. There were dunks crossovers and alley-oops throughout the entire game.

Shooting guard Gerron Brown tossed up three electrifying alley-oops to power forward Tre Jones. Each one sent the crowd into a frenzy of cheers. Jones mentioned, “GB and I been playing together since middle, so when we’re in open court I already know that it’s show time.”

Brown added, “Tre is my guy and his bounce is crazy. So when I toss it up I know he’ll go get it. We have that sort of chemistry on the court, kind of like Bron and D-Wade in Miami.”

Small forward Ivory Smith who has been taking on majority of the workload shared the motivation behind his recent scoring tear saying, “I just want to show everyone that I am a real hooper and could be on the university team.”

Smith’s teammate and point guard Courtney Garnett said, “Ivory has been the force behind our current win streak, and if he keeps playing like this, we will easily win the intramural championship.”

Smith, a 6’4’’ junior from Harvey, was the team’s leader in points with 19 points Thursday night, showing he is a real asset to Creme de la Creme.

Team captain Courtney Garnett contributed 12 points and four assists to the win.

Off the court, Creme de la Creme’s players are good friends with their opponents, SwimGang. However, the players noted that going into this game, they were all business.
